“Tuck , not everybody can go out and exercise. You sound like one of those workout snobs.” I get it. I never did much exercise until I was 49. I was the last person to ever think about it. But then I discovered this instant rewards from an activity that made me sweat. Yes I know there are people who have a medical condition who might not be able to be instantly active, but let me introduce to amazing friend. “Mark Zupan.
Mark Zupan is a wheelchair rugby player and the former captain of the United States wheelchair rugby team which competed in the Paraolympic Games in 2004. He is best known for his appearance in the 2005 film Murderball.
Today Mark does a number of humantarian efforts and is an inspiring public speaker. Here’s the point Mark had a challenging event occur in his life. But he “worked around” it. He is the definition of “inspiration” and he taught himself to come back. No matter what kind of physical ailment you have. There is a work around to becoming more active. Try it for 5 minutes a day.
Then try it for 15 minutes. The immediate rewards you will get are stunning. If you continue and do it for just little bits each day you will gain a higher sense of respect for yourself and this will transform itself into your work. And it pays off. Just take baby steps. But take steps.
Here’s another bit of encouragement. Once you discover that if you just practice to take care of yourself it’s like discovering sex for the first time. Exactly. Of course may it be with someone you love. And taking care of yourself is giving yourself oodles of love. Get out and move. Quit missing out on the rewards. And they are virtually instant.
